Come support Den 5 as they Cross Over into Boy Scouts! These Webelos have worked really hard, and Pack 98 sure is proud of them, and of Mr. Foster. The event will begin at 7:00 pm at Rosemont Baptist Church, in the gymnasium. We hope to see you there!

Great Service Project.... this Saturday, December 3rd
We meet at the front doors of the school on the first Saturday of every month during the school year. We supply each boy with gloves and a trash bag and then we all collect any garbage found on the school grounds.
We meet at the front doors of the school on the first Saturday of every month during the school year. We supply each boy with gloves and a trash bag and then we all collect any garbage found on the school grounds.
Somewhere on the grounds will be a hidden Golden Egg! The finder of the Egg wins a toy/prize from the Prize Bag. There will also be refreshments... hot chocolate w/marshmallows!
This activity is elective but we do request that each boy participate at least twice each year. Some faithful cleaners are there every month, and I thank them for their effort and dedication!

The Cleanup is a wonderful opportunity for Cub Scouts to give back to the school and it qualifies as community service time that can be applied to a Belt Loop or Pin achievement that a Scout may be working on.
Hope to see you Saturday morning,
Rob Pollock

Info about Campout and Cubpalooza
Hope everyone is excited about Cubpalooza next Friday, Saturday and Sunday (October 7, 8 and 9th). If you haven’t told your den leader that you are attending, please do so now. We need numbers so that we have plenty of supplies. The cost for the campout is $5 per family. Please give that payment to your den leaders as soon as possible.
As of right now, each rank will camp in groups; Tigers with Tigers, Bears with Bears, etc. They will remain in these groups throughout the day as they proceed through the stations. Family members are, of course, welcome to accompany Scouts to the stations.
The stations are as follows:

What to Bring
The nights are getting colder and a good warm night’s sleep will make your camping experience much more pleasant. Please remember this while packing your clothing. We have found the following items to be necessities.
Tent, tarps, ground pad/sleeping pad
A good sleeping bag or warm blankets
Camp chair
Flashlights
2 sets of Play clothes; keeping weather in mind
At least 2 pairs of play shoes or rubber boots; The grass will be wet in the mornings, and dry feet are happy feet!
Pajamas or sweats to sleep in; Right before bed it is good to have dry clothes to change into, these help keep you warm.
Rain gear (we always hope for no rain, but it’s good to have): rain coat or poncho
Water bottle or canteen
What we will provide
Cooking and eating utensils
Food and beverages
Porta-potties (male and female)
As a reminder, there will be no running water or electricity. Hand washing stations and hand sanitizer will be available.
If you have any questions, please contact your Den leader, Adam Bishop or David Faulconer. Updates will be posted on the blog at www.pack98scouts.blogspot.com .

We have a new Facebook group, as the old one was soon to be archived. It's still called Pack 98 Scouts. It is a closed group, so once you attempt to join, I'll have to approve you. Apparently, I cannot link the blog to our Facebook group as of now, however, I will post a link to the blog.
Over in the right, at the bottom of the sidebar, click on the picture of Akela, and it should take you to our Facebook group. Please let me know if it doesn't work!
